Forecasts
Locations Tony watches across the Bay Area, the Hudson Valley, Singapore, and northern Europe — plus a slot at the top for wherever you are. US sites pull current observations and the 5-day NWS narrative forecast. International sites pull current observations and the 5-day forecast from ECMWF via Open-Meteo. Pin your own location by geolocation, ZIP code, ICAO airport, or city name — it sticks across visits.
Current observations for US sites come from National Weather Service station feeds. International sites pull both current conditions and the 5-day outlook from ECMWF — the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts deterministic model — served via Open-Meteo. METAR (the operational airport report cycled hourly worldwide, via NOAA's Aviation Weather Center) is what Tony reaches for when reading raw observations directly; in-browser it's CORS-blocked, so the dashboard runs on ECMWF analysis instead. Five-day forecasts for US locations come from the NWS narrative forecast (the gridded forecast output, prose-formatted). Sunrise, sunset, and moon phase compute locally from astronomical formulas — no network call needed.
